REISTERSTOWN, MD — This weekend BGE crews will stretch an electrical wire across Interstate 795, prompting a traffic alert from the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Crews will pull a "neutral electric service wire across all lanes of I-795" near Franklin Boulevard, state highway officials reported.

Between 4 and 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 6, officials said traffic stops and lane closures are possible in the area.

When the BGE crew is ready, Maryland State Police may stop traffic on I-795 for up to 15 minutes, officials said.

Drivers should allow extra time if they plan to use I-795 between Owings Mills and Reisterstown Sunday morning or use MD 140/Reisterstown Road as an alternate route, authorities advised.
