Food Lion to Hold Job Fair in Owings Mills Jan. 9

Hoping to attract candidates for about 160 job openings in the Greater Baltimore region, Food Lion will hold a job fair in Owings Mills on Wednesday.

The hiring event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 4770 Owings Mills Blvd.

The grocer plans to fill a total of 250 part-time and full-time positions throughout the Dover and Wilmington, DE, and Baltimore regions, according to a statement from the company.

Additional workers are needed to meet expanding need in existing stores, according to the statement.

Locally, Food Lion operates grocery stores in Reisterstown and Owings Mills.

Openings include customer service and store support positions (department managers, department associates and sales associates) and sociality positions (meat cutters and cake decorators).

Interested candidates are encouraged to bring their resume to the event, and come prepared for an interview—interviews will be held onsite when possible, according to the statement.
