Former Owings Mills Giant Could Become Storage Facility

The hearing about whether an old grocery store in Owings Mills may become a storage facility has been postponed.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The former Giant in Owings Mills may be turned into a self-storage facility.

A special hearing was slated for Tuesday on WebEx so the zoning commissioner could determine whether the store in the New Town Village Center could be approved for a storage facility.

However, the hearing has been postponed, according to Baltimore County zoning officials.

The New Town Village Center Giant closed in 2019 with the opening of the Giant at the former Owings Mills Mall site, which is now Mill Station.
