Freeze Warning Issued For Owings Mills, Reisterstown

Frost and freeze conditions are possible twice this week in Owings Mills and Reisterstown, according to the National Weather Service.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A freeze warning is in effect for parts of Baltimore County Monday morning.

Temperatures may dip as low as 31 degrees, causing frost and freeze conditions that may kill crops and sensitive vegetation as well as damage outdoor plumbing, according to the National Weather Service.

During the freeze warning period — from 4:30 to 9 a.m. on Monday, April 18 — authorities said to protect tender plants from the cold and wrap, drain or drip slowly any outdoor pipes to prevent bursting. People with in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing, officials advised.
