Loaded Gun Found In Student's Backpack At Baltimore County School
A loaded handgun was found inside a student's backpack at Kenwood High School, multiple news outlets confirm.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A loaded gun was found inside a student's backpack at a high school in Baltimore County, multiple news outlets report.
According to WBAL-TV, School officials from Kenwood High School notified parents and guardians of the situation Tuesday afternoon.
A letter to them stated, in part, that "Students who are found to be in possession of a weapon will face serious school and legal consequences," WBFF-TV reported.

It was a school employee who had initially told a school resource officer about the gun.
Police ultimately seized it and detectives from Baltimore County Police Department's Gun Squad were also notified, according to news outlets.

It was not immediately clear if the student will face charges or disciplinary action.
