Man Charged With Attempted ATM Burglary In Owings Mills

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Baltimore County police recently arrested a man in connection with an attempted ATM burglary in Owings Mills.

Kirk Parker Jr., 36, has been charged with second-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and several other charges.

According to police, on Dec. 29. around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a burglary call in the 9300 block of Lakeside Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they said they noticed a white truck backed up to an ATM machine with chains wrapped around it.

When the suspect, later identified as Parker, saw police arriving at the location, he tried to run away, police said. Officers ran after him and arrested him in a wooded area near Embassy Circle.

Police said the vehicle used in the incident was a 2019 Ford F550 registered to the City of Baltimore. The city emblem on the vehicle had been taped over as well as the front license plate. A preliminary investigation determined the truck had been reported stolen in Carroll County.

Parker is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
