Man Dies Following Trench Collapse In Owings Mills

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A man died Tuesday following a trench collapse in Baltimore County, fire officials said.

The Baltimore County Fire Department responded to the 9800 block of Lyons Mill Road in Owings Mills on Tuesday morning after receiving calls for a trench rescue.

When crews arrived, they located a man with critical injuries at the scene. Shortly after noon, fire officials confirmed the man had died.

Officials did not release the man's name or what led to the trench collapse.

The incident remains under investigation.
