Owings Mills Business Powered By Sun, Women Named Fastest-Growing

An Owings Mills-based solar energy company has been named one of Baltimore’s fastest-growing woman-owned businesses. 

Maryland Solar Solutions, Inc., a solar panel installation company, owned by Colette Hayward, ranked fourth in The Baltimore Business Journal’s list.

Hayward’s business, launched in 2009, has grown in revenue from $175,000 in 2011 to $350,000 in 2012, according to BBJ.

In 2010, Maryland Solar Solutions earned Women’s Business Enterprise Certification from the City of Baltimore, as reported by Construction Executive Magazine.
