ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — An Owings Mills man was charged in connection with a road rage case on Dorsey Road that occurred this week, according to police.

Jamal Rodgers Jr., 20, was arrested after police said he rammed another man's vehicle, then followed the victim, who drove to a police station nearby.

Rodgers and the other driver had been driving on Dorsey Road near Aviation Boulevard around 11 a.m. on Tuesday when a fire engine passed them with its lights and sirens on, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The other driver told authorities that he pulled over to the side of the road in front of another vehicle that did the same thing as the fire engine passed, officials said.

Police said Rodgers got out and yelled at the driver for stopping in front of him rather than behind him, then he returned to his vehicle and rammed the victim's car two times.

The victim started driving, and Rodgers followed him, officials said. Once Rodgers realized the victim had led him to the Northern District Station in Brooklyn, he took off. However, officials said they found him close by, where he was taken into custody.

Rodgers, who has an address of Enchanted Hills Road in Owings Mills in previous court records, has been charged with the following:

  • First-degree assault
  • Second-degree assault
  • Reckless endangerment

Following a bail review hearing Wednesday, he is being held without bail in Anne Arundel County, court records show.
