These Two Owings Mills High School Teams Got Their Moment In Spotlight Before Ravens Game
Two Owings Mills area football teams faced off before one Ravens game in September at M&T Bank Stadium.

BALTIMORE, MD — Members of the New Town and Owings Mills high school football teams faced off recently at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore as part of the pregame festivities before the Baltimore Ravens took to the field.
Five members of the New Town Titans and Owings Mills Eagles showcased their catching, throwing, backpedaling, tire flipping and other skills in a relay before the Ravens' Sept. 19 game.
"To be selected to represent the school on such a big stage was mind-blowing," New Town senior Jah'kem Allen said in a statement.

The New Town Titans emerged as the winners, according to Baltimore County Public Schools, which reported they were part of the Ravens High School Combine program, which is sponsored by T. Rowe Price and the Ravens to recognize outstanding student-athletes.
"We were a little nervous," Owings Mills senior Amari N'namdi-Hall said. "At the end of the day, we just embraced the moment and enjoyed every minute of it."

Afterward, the players watched the Baltimore Ravens beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 36-35.

Both teams have NFL ties.
New Town grad Quincy Roche is a member of the New York Giants, and he gave a pep talk before the team took on Kenwood High School on Sept. 18, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.
Donovan Smith of Owings Mills High School is a Super Bowl champion, playing offensive tackle for Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
