Owings Mills Woman Appointed To Baltimore County Board Of Education
Gov. Larry Hogan appointed a retired Owings Mills educator who is a mother of two students to serve on the Baltimore County school board.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills woman has been appointed to serve on the Baltimore County Board of Education.
Felicia Stolusky is a retired teacher who worked for Baltimore County Public Schools for more than 20 years. She was a middle school teacher and is a mother of two students who currently attend high school in Baltimore County Public Schools as well.
Gov. Larry Hogan appointed Stolusky after another board member resigned.

Former Vice Chair Cheryl Pasteur stepped down from her post in February after announcing her candidacy for a seat in the Maryland General Assembly.

Once the county clerk swears Stolusky into office, she will join the board officially, and her term will run until Dec. 2.
“I look forward to working closely with Mrs. Stolusky,” Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Darryl L. Williams said in a statement. “I am certain that the Board and our school system will benefit from her unique perspective and rich experiences as a former BCPS educator.”
From 1997 until her retirement in 2016, Stolusky worked as a middle school teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools. She continued with the school system as a substitute teacher until 2020, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools.
“We look forward to welcoming Mrs. Stolusky to the Board of Education,” Baltimore County Board of Education Chair Julie Henn said in a statement. “Her vast knowledge of the school system obtained through multiple roles – middle school teacher, substitute teacher, parent, and community advocate – will enrich our work as the governing body for the school system, as we seek in every way to ensure that every student receives the highest quality education to graduate career and college ready.”
Stolusky has a bachelor's degree in secondary education and a master's degree in human resource development from Towson University. She and her husband and two children live in Owings Mills.
