Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson Attends Practice After COVID-19
The quarterback who has contracted coronavirus twice was back on the field Saturday after a mandatory isolation period.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was in practice Saturday after being benched because of the coronavirus.
Jackson had to miss practice Wednesday, July 28, due to a positive COVID-19 test the day before.
Afterward, he was under quarantine orders for 10 days.

The NFL requires unvaccinated players to isolate for 10 days after testing positive for the virus. They can return if they are asymptomatic, according to the NFL's COVID-19 guidelines, which state that vaccinated players can return after two negative COVID-19 tests and no symptoms.
Jackson has declined to say whether he has been vaccinated, according to ESPN, which reported Gov. Larry Hogan this week called on the player to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Jackson also had the virus in November 2020.
"He had a lot of symptoms," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said, as reported by ESPN.
After contracting the virus in the winter, Jackson said he had flu-like symptoms and lost his sense of taste and smell.
While the Baltimore Ravens reported it has a 90 percent COVID-19 vaccination rate among its players, it is unclear whether Jackson is among them.
Unvaccinated people are more than twice as likely to get reinfected with COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday.
At Saturday's practice, Jackson was 11 of 19 in drills, according to ESPN.
The quarterback looked "better than I expected," Harbaugh reportedly said after Saturday's practice.
Practice was "very spirited," Harbaugh told the BaltimoreRavens.com of the first practice of the preseason for the Ravens with the team's starting quarterback at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills. Jackson's return came one week before the preseason opener.
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, the team will take on the New Orleans Saints at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore to kick off the preseason schedule.
The Ravens will open the season on Sept. 13 with a visit to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
