OWINGS MILLS, MD — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Emily Kenlaw, who nominated her friend and colleague at the Community Crisis Center of Reisterstown.

Hero's job: Community Crisis Center Employee

Reason for recognition: As the only "paid" employee of our local Community Crisis Center, she has diligently worked 7 days a week supporting the community by ensuring food is ordered, delivered, stocked and available for our clients. She has tirelessly worked around the clock.

One thing to know: Without Eileen, our Crisis Center would not be open and operating.
Our food-deprived client count has increased over 500% from a year ago.

Thank you for all you do, Eileen!
