Reisterstown To Protest Gun Violence At March For Our Lives Rally

A "March for Our Lives" protest in Reisterstown is planned as part of a nationwide movement driven by school shootings.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A group in Reisterstown is organizing a demonstration in response to the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that killed 19 children and two teachers.

The Reisterstown March for Our Lives rally will be at Franklin High School on Saturday, June 11.

More than 300 local marches are planned nationwide that day, March for Our Lives organizers reported as of Thursday.

The first March for Our Lives rally was held after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Fla. Students launched the movement, which resulted in tens of thousands participating in protests in cities across the country in March 2018.

The 2022 March for Our Lives rally in Reisterstown will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Franklin High School.
