RV Fire Breaks Out On I-695 Near Stevenson Lane: Officials

The outer loop of Interstate 695 was temporarily closed, according to Baltimore County fire officials.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A vehicle fire on Interstate 695 temporarily closed the highway on the outer loop Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

An RV blaze erupted on I-695 between Greenspring Avenue and Park Heights, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported before 1:40 p.m.

As a result, I-695 all lanes were shut down on the outer loop at Stevenson Lane, authorities said.

By 2 p.m., traffic was getting by on the left shoulder.

After 2:30 p.m., officials reported the right lane and right shoulder were closed due to the vehicle fire.
