Safety, Snowballs and Fire Engines To Highlight National Night Out Events
Communities in Owings Mills and Reisterstown areas in the Franklin Precinct will celebrate the annual event.

One community in the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct will celebrate National Night out Tuesday, Aug. 6, and another will celebrate Aug. 14.
According to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department, from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, the Chartley Homeowners Association and Country Club Estates will hold its National Night Out event, titled "Safety, Health and Environment."
Be one of the first to arrive at the event, held at the Chartley Park Center on Chartley Drive, and you can get some free Chick-fil-A nuggets, the release states.
There will also be "free cold drinks and snow balls, children’s activities, and music," it states. Representatives from Baltimore Gas & Electric will give demonstrations, and police will give home security tips.
Other demonstrations will highlight emergency preparedness, a 911 simulator, environmental awareness, Baltimore County Fire Department's Engine No. 56, and more, it states.
On Aug. 14, New Town Community will greet police, McGruff the Crime Dog and the Baltimore County Fire Department's Engine No. 19 during its event from 6-9 p.m. in Central Park. That's the rain date, because of inclement weather Aug. 6—the original date for the gathering.
Meet at the corner of New Town Boulevard and Fitch Lane for music, kids' activities and to see the fire engine.
