TBC Wins Big at AAF Baltimore American Advertising Awards
Work for Visit Baltimore wins "Best of Show" for broadcast category

Baltimore-based creative agency TBC is thrilled to announce it is the recipient of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Baltimore’s “Best of Show” in the broadcast category coupled with a Gold and Silver ADDY for its work with Visit Baltimore, and a Gold and Silver ADDY for an online/interactive campaign for its work KT Tape at this year’s American Advertising Awards. The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting nearly 35,000 entries every year in local AAF competitions. The local Baltimore tier is the first of a three-tier, national competition to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
“Being acknowledged by your peers in such a competitive industry isn’t taken lightly or for granted—it’s a byproduct of passionate, tireless work,” said Bill Ward, EVP and managing director at TBC. “Earning these awards validates our expertise in the craft of creativity, and we endeavor to bring this caliber of work to all of our clients.”
TBC took home a “Best of Show” Award for the favorite film/video/sound branded content more than :60 seconds entry out of the entire competition and a Gold and Silver ADDY for its social video series “The Index” for local client Visit Baltimore. The YouTube and Instagram videos are designed to showcase what makes the city uniquely and authentically Baltimore and target the “adventurous tastemaker” audience. Each video entices the viewer to go off the beaten path to experience Charm City delights with a behind-the-scenes look at how the locals pick crabs and where to find the best snowballs and orange crushes, for example.

TBC was also awarded a Gold and Silver ADDY for its national online/interactive campaign during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, which were postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic. TBC was tasked with creating a digital campaign for KT Tape to feature their sponsored players who were participating in the Tokyo games. Kicking off the campaign with an anthemic hype video that showcased the brand’s kinesiology tape product during the athletes’ Olympic training, assets were then created for all avenues of social media to get behind the athletes during the competition and congratulate the medalists who made the podium.
