Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Baltimore County
Here's when snow is expected to start in Baltimore County and how much forecasters think will fall.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — As winter weather nears, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Baltimore County and much of central Maryland. The advisory calls for snow, ice and strong winds Sunday afternoon through early Monday morning.
Projected snow totals call for about 2 to 4 inches of accumulation in Baltimore County with up to 6 inches possible, an increase from the earlier projection of 1 to 3 inches. Up to 0.1 inch ice may accumulate. Winds may gust as high as 45 mph, forecasters say.
Roads may be slippery, and people should be careful driving and walking outside. In particular, officials advise being cautious with first steps on sidewalks, driveways and stairs, which may be icy and slippery.

In Baltimore County, forecasters expect snow to start around 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The winter weather advisory takes effect at 1 p.m. Sunday and runs through 1 a.m. Monday for the following areas:

- Cecil County
- Harford County
- Howard County
- Montgomery County
The District of Columbia and parts of northern Virginia are also under the winter weather advisory.
