Woodlawn Explosion: 7 Hospitalized, Including 6 First Responders

Firefighters and police were injured in a building explosion Monday night, Baltimore County officials said.

WOODLAWN, MD — Officials said a commercial building fire that involved hazardous materials injured several people, including first responders, in Woodlawn Monday night.

Crews were dispatched at 9:37 p.m. to the 1700 block of Rolling Road, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Four police officers, two EMS providers and one civilian were injured in what fire officials said was a "minor explosion" near Libra Nails & Spa.

By 10:30 p.m., officials said the fire was under control.
