UPDATE: Parkville Man Charged in Fatal Rosedale Shooting
A Baltimore man was shot and killed during the early hours of Saturday morning, near the White Marsh area in Rosedale.
UPDATE (8:30 p.m.)—A Parkville man has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting a man in the Rosedale area early Saturday morning, police announced Saturday night.
Maurice Garnett White, 32, of the 8500 block of Dempster Court has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center with his bail denied, according to a news release.
Police do not expect to make any additional arrests at this time. White's bail review is scheduled for Tuesday, the news release stated.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday, police and fire personnel responded to the unit block of Maidstone Court in Rosedale after a shooting was reported, according to Cpl. John Wachter, a police spokesman.
They found 35-year-old Erwin Lee Whaley, of the 3400 Block of Mayfield Ave in Baltimore, suffering from at least one gun shot wound. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he later died, according to Wachter.

There was no indication as of Saturday morning that the shooting was related to other criminal activity, he said.
