NOTTINGHAM, MD — As the temperatures get hotter, more people are coming out, and The Avenue at White Marsh is making its youth escort policy a daily occurrence.

"We are happy to see many families enjoying time together at THE AVENUE and believe this update to be in the best interest of our young guests, as well as our tenants," according to a statement from The Avenue.

The youth escort policy — which requires those under 17 years of age to be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult who is at least 21 years old if they are on the premises after 5 p.m. — has been in effect on Fridays and Saturdays.

People who are waiting for rides at 5 p.m. are considered to be in violation of the youth escort policy, according to The Avenue.

Violators are subject to being barred from The Avenue for three months.

"THE AVENUE at White Marsh is part of an amazing community," officials said. "In advance, we thank you for your continued support."

Management at the shopping venue implemented a similar policy around spring break.
