Child Porn, Sexual Solicitation Charges Filed Against Essex Man: Sheriff

Child porn charges were filed against a Baltimore County man, 23, authorities said. He's also accused of sexually soliciting a minor.

ESSEX, MD — A Baltimore County man facing child pornography and sexual solicitation of a minor charges was recently held without bond, authorities said.

The Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff on Oct. 1 identified the suspect as Jamie Lee Overton Jr., 23, of Essex.

The sheriff's office said it received a report on Aug. 30 from a Queen Anne's County resident alleging an unknown man had contacted their child, who is under the age of 12, for sexual purposes.

A press release said an arrest warrant was issued for Overton on Sept. 19 on charges of:

  • Sexual solicitation of a minor
  • Child pornography (Two counts)
  • Obscene telephone misuse (Two counts)

Authorities said Overton was taken into custody in Baltimore on Sept. 24 and later held without bond.
