House Fire Hospitalizes 5 Children, 1 Adult In Baltimore County: Officials
A house fire hospitalized five children and one adult in Baltimore County, officials said. Crews also rescued 11 pets from the blaze.

DUNDALK, MD — A Dundalk house fire hospitalized five children and one adult early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Crews said they also rescued nine cats and two dogs from the home.
The blaze displaced seven residents, a press release said.

First responders said they were called to the 3000 block of Dunleer Road at 3:44 a.m. for a dwelling fire.
Firefighters said they found flames visible from the first floor of the home.

Crews said they started searching the house after learning a child was still inside.
Responders said they found an 8-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries and took him to a hospital.
Four other children and a man who escaped the fire were also hospitalized with minor injuries, officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
