Student Caught With Gun Arrested: Baltimore County Police

A student caught with a gun was arrested in Baltimore County, police said. The 17-year-old was charged as an adult.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A student was caught with a gun and arrested Tuesday at Franklin High School in Reisterstown, police said.

Authorities said a school resource officer was called around 1:50 p.m. for a reported suspicious person. The officer was warned that the student could be armed.

Police said they safely removed the student from the area and seized the gun.

Authorities said they arrested the 17-year-old and charged him as an adult with possession of a firearm.

Officers did not release the student's name.

The suspect was held without bond, the Baltimore County Police Department said.
