Gators Football Falls to Poly in Playoffs, 50-21

Perry Hall advanced to the postseason after Westminster—which had been the fourth seed—, when it was revealed the Owls inadvertently used an ineligible player.
Perry Hall won several big games this season, including and a 21-19 season-opening win over St. Paul’s. The Gators’ only other defeat was a 32-23 setback to Baltimore County champion Catonsville (10-0).

Friday’s game was expected to be especially meaningful for Perry Hall coach Keith Robinson. He was an assistant under Poly coach Roger Wrenn while both were at Patterson. Wrenn, a legendary figure in Baltimore high school sports, is set to retire after a 40-year coaching career that includes a 284-113-2 record.
