Woman Fatally Stabs Sister After Post-Wedding Argument: Report

A Prince George's woman fatally stabbed her older sister in Baltimore County after a post-wedding argument, reports said.

CATONSVILLE, MD — A woman is accused of fatally stabbing her older sister after a post-wedding argument this week in Catonsville, FOX 45 reported.

Police said they arrested 29-year-old Brianna Jarrells. Court records show that the Greenbelt woman was charged with first-degree murder.

The victim was 31-year-old Alyssa Jarrells, officers told Patch on Wednesday.

Authorities said they were called for a stabbing Sunday around 1:35 a.m. at a home in the 5600 block of Wilkens Avenue.

Medics took the victim to a hospital, where police said the victim died.

Citing charging documents, FOX 45 reported that the sisters went to a wedding together Saturday and then visited a male's home, where they got into a minor argument that escalated throughout the evening.

The suspect confessed to pinning a utility knife against her sister "as a warning," FOX 45 said. The TV station reported that the suspect thought she had "just nipped her," but the victim then collapsed.

Court records show that Judge Marsha L. Russell held the suspect without bond on Monday.
