Tool Store Opens 6th Baltimore County Location, Eyes Further Growth In MD
A tool store opened a new Baltimore County location, continuing its MD growth. The nationwide chain is also expanding in Harford County.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — Harbor Freight recently opened a tool store in Middle River, continuing its Maryland expansion with further growth planned.
Located in the Carroll Island Shopping Center, the store opened on Dec. 19 and celebrated its grand opening this Saturday.
This is the sixth Harbor Freight in Baltimore County, and it's also one of 22 locations open or planned in the Old Line State.

Harbor Freight is expanding in Harford County, where a store opened on July 19, 2024, in Havre de Grace at 1000 Pulaski Highway. Another is coming this April to Bel Air at 540 W. Macphail Road.
The Middle River, Havre de Grace and Bel Air stores are all hiring associates. More information is posted here.

Eric Smidt and his father, Allan Smidt, founded Harbor Freight in 1977 as a small mail-order tool business in North Hollywood, California.
The chain said it now averages two store openings per week, bringing it to more than 1,550 locations and 29,000 associates nationwide.
Harbor Freight sells over 7,500 tools and products, drawing over 75 million customers in its 48 years of business.
Products include automotive, air and power tools. Other offerings include storage, outdoor power equipment, generators, welding supplies, shop equipment and hand tools.
The Middle River store is located at 140 Carroll Island Road next to Dollar Tree.
It's open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
