Latest MD Snow Forecast, Followed By Arctic Air
Maryland's snow forecast shifted. Here's how much snowfall is expected in the Old Line State's second winter storm of the week.

MARYLAND — Maryland is bracing for another round of snow late Friday night into Saturday, but the state's second winter storm of the week should be far weaker than the first.
Most forecasts call for a dusting to an inch in the Baltimore area. Some call for an inch or 2 in the Washington, D.C., and Annapolis areas.
"Confidence is increasing for light snow accumulation (1-2 inches) for most of the area Friday night into Saturday morning," the National Weather Service said in a forecast discussion.

AccuWeather initially forecasted 1 to 3 inches of snowfall, but those projections have decreased slightly.
WMAR Meteorologist Stevie Daniels expects a coating to an inch from Baltimore and north. She calls for 1 to 2 inches around the Annapolis, Columbia, DC and Stevensville areas with up to 3 inches on the lower Eastern Shore.

WBAL Meteorologist Ava Marie thinks the storm will be even weaker with snowfall from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. She's calling for a trace to an inch throughout the Interstate 95 corridor with only southern Maryland and the lower Eastern Shore getting 1 to 2 inches.
"The next snow will be minor, but some roads and sidewalks could still be slick until the temps warm above freezing," Marie said Thursday on X, formerly Twitter.
Saturday highs look to be above freezing in the mid-30s, so melting should start fairly quickly. Gusts up to 22 mph will ensure there's still a cold nip from the ongoing blast of arctic air.
Saturday night will be clear with a low around 21, making for a chilly playoff game when the Ravens host the Steelers at 8 p.m.
