Man Recovered From Water, Dies On Scene In Essex: Police

ESSEX, MD — A man died after he was recovered from the water recently in Essex, police said.

Officers on Monday identified the victim as 65-year-old Michael Miller of Essex. There are no signs of foul play.

Authorities said they were called Sunday evening to the 100 block of Villa Capri Circle for a missing person.

A passerby found a vehicle parked next to the curb with the driver's door open, police said.

Officers did not see the driver when they arrived, so they started checking the water. Villa Capri Circle overlooks the Back River.

Using a helicopter to search, officers found the man and recovered him from the water.

Medics pronounced the victim dead on the scene, authorities said.
