March 23: Express Toll Lane White Marsh Closure (Revised)

Maryland Transportation Authority crews will be conducting demolition and bridge removal work this weekend.

A segment of Interstate 95 in the White Marsh area will be shut down this weekend for bridge demolition and removal work—part of the ongoing I-95 Express Toll Lanes Project, according to a release.

The Maryland Transportation Authority sent out a revised notice Monday regarding the closure. (See attached)

The closure will commence from midnight on Saturday, March 23 until 6 a.m. All lanes of southbound Interstate 95 and the MD-43 interchange will be blocked off, weather permitting. 

"Traffic will be detoured to Exit 67B (westbound White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95. Police will be directing traffic across at the signalized intersection," the release states.

The Transportation Authority's Express Toll Lanes Project is expected to be completed by 2014.
