PERRY HALL, MD — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Christine Carr, who assists with a mask-making ministry and nominated Anita Schatz, founder of Masks by Baba.

Hero's job: She leads a ministry in making masks for first responders and any group that deals with the public... Ambers, hospices, Officers, fire dept...the list goes on. All donated. She also runs a ministry that makes burial gowns for babies that die prematurely.

Reason for recognition: She has dedicated endless hours to this cause. Her entire
basement is a factory that works free for the public.
