Perry Hall Library To Celebrate 50 Years
Find out what the library system has in store for the celebration.
Perry Hall High School isn't the only landmark celebrating its 50th birthday this year.
The Perry Hall Library, built in 1963, will open its doors for a day-long birthday celebration on Sept. 7. See a full itinerary of events below.
"The Perry Hall library is beloved in our community, and I hope families take the opportunity to celebrate this wonderful resource," Councilman David Marks said.
"I regard the construction of the new Perry Hall library as one of our greatest accomplishments over the past decade," he continued. "We worked on this for ten years before it opened in 2009."
Events planned:
11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Face painting with Annette Abramson (crafts donated by Lakeshore Learning
12:20 p.m.: Chapel Hill Elementary School Choir
1:00 p.m.: Remarks by local leaders, including BCPL Director Jim fish, County Councilman David Marks, Friends of the Perry Hall Library President Jaymee Farinacci

1:30 p.m.: Refreshments
2 p.m.: Phineas T. Waggs One Man Show
