School Supplies Donated by Businesses, Citizens to be Distributed to BCPS Teachers

White Marsh Mall management generously donated space for the distribution event.

Hundreds of Baltimore County Public Schools teachers are expected to visit White Marsh Mall to receive free school supplies donated for their students by area businesses and citizens during the school system’s Back to School Involves You, Too! campaign. In space generously loaned to BCPS by the management of White Marsh Mall, only BCPS teachers wearing their school IDs will be able to select items that they know students in their schools will need for the school year. In addition, Boscov’s department store will provide participating teachers with a shopping discount. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 20.

Teachers are asked to park near the lower level of Boscov’s and enter the mall through Boscov’s. They will be directed to the supplies distribution location.

The effort to collect school supplies from area businesses and citizens was part of the ongoing Back to School Involves You, Too! campaign, led by the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools. The campaign invites community stakeholders to join in celebrating the start of a new school year and helping students and their parents prepare for it.

Boscov’s was one of the drop-off locations for supply donations, and White Marsh Mall generously loaned the school system space to store, sort, and distribute the materials to teachers.
