Softball Coach Charged With Rape, Child Porn Offenses In Baltimore County: Police

A softball coach was accused of sexually abusing a minor and soliciting child porn, Baltimore County Police said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Baltimore County softball coach was accused of sexually abusing a minor and soliciting child pornography, police announced Tuesday.

Court records show that Nottingham resident Michael Joseph Pusateri, 59, was arrested Monday.

Officers said Pusateri coached for the Parkville Recreation Council. He was also a volunteer assistant coach at Kenwood High School in Essex. He has further experience coaching teams in Middle River and the Overlea-Fullerton area.

Pusateri's case file lists his felony charges as second-degree rape, sexual abuse of a minor and two child porn offenses. He's also charged with second-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

The records say the offenses happened this July.

Pusateri has a bail hearing Tuesday at 1 p.m. to determine if he will be held without bond, his file says.

Authorities think there could be other victims because of the suspect's coaching background.
