Tickets Available for Perry Hall's Taste of the Town Fund-raiser

(Arguably) The most delicious night of the year returns to the Perry Hall Library in May.

Nineteen top-notch restaurants are again enticing Perry Hall residents to help children a foster a love of reading at the second annual Taste of the Town fund-raiser, coming soon. 

Are you going to say no to a child who wants to read? (Somebody, cue Sarah McLachlan.)

The fund-raiser is scheduled for May 4, although organizers assure Patch that tickets will sell out based on attendance in 2012 and buzz circulating the Perry Hall Library stacks in 2013.

Tickets cost $75 and can be purchased here

Money benefits the Baltimore County Public Library Foundation, which aims to "provide funding for projects that encourage children and young adults to cultivate a life-long enthusiasm for reading and learning," according to the Foundation For BCPL website

UPDATE (1:20 p.m.)—Sixty percent ($45) of the $75 ticket is tax deductible, according to Foundation president Jeff Smith. 

Noble cause aside, the money also buys participants a night of music, raffles and food samples from 19 Baltimore restaurants. 

Breaking(-ish) News: Organizers tell Patch that Bonefish Grill has signed on as a Taste of the Town vendor, which has not yet been officially announced on the Taste of the Town homepage. You're welcome, newsletter subscribers.
