Unfounded Threat Temporarily Closed White Marsh Movie Theater: Police

A threat temporarily closed the White Marsh movie theater, police said. Officers found no danger and gave the all-clear.

NOTTINGHAM, MD — An unfounded threat temporarily closed the AMC Theatres Sunday in White Marsh, police said.

At 2:52 p.m., officers announced the "telephone threat" at AMC White Marsh 16. Authorities gave the all-clear at 4:30 p.m.

"A search of the theater revealed no threat to the public," the Baltimore County Police Department said on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Thank you for your patience."

FOX45 reported that "The caller was not specific about the threat, but the theater was evacuated out of an abundance of caution."

Patch contacted AMC for a comment, but the theater company did not respond. We will update this article if they reply.
