Volunteers Break Ground on Perry Hall Community Garden

Chapel Hills Farm and Nursery owner Russell Berk helped get the project started with a generous donation.

The Perry Hall community garden became a reality Saturday morning thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers and a gracious donation from a local business owner.

Chapel Hills Farm and Nursery owner Russell Berk contributed 27 bags of free mulch to the garden, which broke ground next to Rosedale Federal Savings and Loan.

County Councilman David Marks helped arrange the donation.
