WEATHER ALERT: Winter Storm Could Mean Snow in Perry Hall This Weekend
Winter Storm Iola is forecast to intensify as it hits the East Coast and bring snow, ice and rain to a large part of the region.

Get the salt and shovels ready. A winter snowstorm headed for the Northeast could mean rain, ice and snow in Perry Hall this weekend.
Winter Storm Iola was named Wednesday afternoon after storm warnings were issued in the Southwest, according to the Weather Channel. Areas in the U.S., including New Mexico and Texas, experienced snowfall rates as high as 3 inches per hour.
As the storm heads for the Northeast, the Weather Channel forecast says snowfall rate and location is still unclear, but the the storm will likely intensify rapidly as it hits the East Coast.

Most of the weekend snow — if any — is predicted to fall between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Here’s what you can expect in Perry Hall:
- Friday, temperatures will range from mid to upper 30s. There is a 90 percent chance of rain with snow accumulating from one to three inches Friday night.
- Saturday, temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s. There is a 90 chance of rain with rainfall about a quarter of an inch.
- Sunday, temperatures will be around the mid 30s to about 40. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation Sunday night with rain showers turning into a mixture of rain and snow overnight. New snow accumulation is estimated to be less than one inch.
