Woman Who Archived Perry Hall History Passes Away

A Perry Hall resident, who reportedly helped collect the stories and pictures of Perry Hall families, died recently.

PERRY HALL, MD — A woman known for chronicling Perry Hall's history has passed away.

Loretta Rutkowski died on May 21, according to her obituary. She was 85.

Rutkowski worked as an insurance agent from 1972 until retiring in 1998, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported she collected photographs and interviewed residents to archive Perry Hall history. Some of her photographs are featured in the Perry Hall Library, according to the Sun.

Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, 11750 Belair Road, in Kingsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 8420 Belair Road, in Fullerton, MD. Interment will be at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Rutkowski's name may be made St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
