Governor's Proposal Puts All of Riverdale Park in Dist. 22
The plan, if approved, would prevent a small section of the town from being grouped with College Park.

A revised redistricting plan published Wednesday by Gov. Martin O'Malley's office would ensure that all of Riverdale Park falls under the 22nd legislative district over the next decade.
The proposed map—part of the decennial process—makes several small changes to an earlier version put forward by the Governor's Redistricting Advisory Committee.
Under the original GRAC plan, the boundary of the 22nd district would run south of Riverdale Park's northern border, leaving a sliver of the town in the 21st district alongside College Park.

The governor's map moves that line, provisionally placing the whole town in the 22nd district with University Park, Greenbelt, New Carrollton, and other communities.
The district is currently represented by Sen. Paul Pinsky (D-Dist. 22) and State Del. Tawanna Gaines, Anne Healey, and Justin Ross.
