Riverdale Park To Contribute to Market Study

Riverdale Park's council voted in a special legislative session Thursday night that they would contribute money for a .

The study, led by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, has already been supported by the cities of Hyattsville and College Park, and the town of University Park.

presented information about the study to the town's economic development committee last week.

Riverdale Park will contribute $5,000, the same amount other municipalities have contributed, to learn what type of retail, restaurants and businesses are needed in the area.

The study will look at the Route 1 corridor from the D.C. line to the Beltway, but Riverdale Park also wants the study to take a look at the Kenilworth Avenue corridor.
