After bad weather and a high volume of leaves slowed down the last round of leaf removal, University Park town officials say collection is now moving along swiftly. As of Thursday evening, crews had already covered interior roads in wards 1 and 2 and had made "significant progress" in ward 3.  Weather permitting, collection will continue on perimeter streets (Baltimore Avenue, East-West Highway, and Adelphi Road) on Saturday before moving into ward 5. Crews are expected to be back in wards 6 and 7 late next week. "Last chance" collection is set to begin around Dec. 29 in wards 1 and 2.
