University Park To Contribute to Market Study for Area Retail, Restaurants

After College Park's city council voted to support the market study with $5,000, University Park's council will pay up based on an approval of support is two or more entities contributed.

University Park will contribute $5,000 to a headed by Hyattsville's Community Development Corporation, after the city of College Park voted in favor of a contributuon Tuesday night.

Earlier this fall, , presented information to both Hyattsville and councils. Hyattsville voted to approve a $5,000 contribution from their city, however in University Park, the council voted approval contingent on whether two or more entities would contribute to the study.

So, now with College Park in on the market study, University Park's earlier vote will be upheld.

That means the CDC now has $15,000 towards a market study about the region's retail and restaurants.

Eisenberg has yet to officially present the information to Riverdale Park's council, and Riverdale Park's council has yet to discuss a contribution to the study at a meeting.
