Wintry Mix on Its Way Late Friday
The National Weather Service expects up to an inch of ice and snow to accumulate.

Prince George's County and surrounding areas are in for a dose of snow, sleet, and freezing rain heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter weather advisory is in effect throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor from 11 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday. Accumulations of up to an inch are possible by the time the precip tapers off, the service reports.
Snow and sleet are expected to move into the area Friday evening before changing over to freezing rain and rain during the overnight hours.

"Winty precipitation will cause slippery traveling conditions late tonight through Saturday morning," the NWS warns. "Ice will accumulate on trees and power lines. … Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving."
Overnight lows are forecast to stay in the upper 20s and lower 30s, followed by daytime highs on Saturday in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
