2 People Evaluated By EMS Crews After Rockville House Fire

Two Rockville residents are being evaluated by paramedics after a fire broke out in the basement of their home Tuesday afternoon.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two Rockville residents are being evaluated by paramedics after a fire broke out in the basement of their home Tuesday afternoon.

The fire occurred around 12 p.m. in the 6900 block of Old Stage Rd., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The blaze started in the basement of the single-family home.

The occupants of the home were able to escape and are being evaluated by EMS crews, Piringer said.

The bulk of the fire has been knocked down and firefighters are checking for extension.
