• Federal agents join search for man accused of stabbing ex-girlfriend in Montgomery County (wjla.com) — Federal agents have joined the search for a man from Rockville accused of a violent knife attack on his ex-girlfriend in Silver Spring earlier this year. Authorities say the woman survived, and investigators obtained a warrant after corroborating her account with witnesses. Residents are urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service with any information on the suspect’s whereabouts.
   

• Councilmember Sayles Spends Week Touring Area Health and Human Services Providers (mymcmedia.org) — Montgomery County Councilmember-at-large Laurie-Anne Sayles visited the county’s Early Childhood Services offices in Rockville as part of a weeklong tour of health and human services providers. As the new Health and Human Services Committee chair, she’s gathering on-the-ground insight to shape policies on childcare access, health insurance, senior support, and behavioral and maternal health for residents across Rockville and the county.
   

• We now know how many Montgomery County students have been deported (thebanner.com) — A Richard Montgomery High School freshman in Rockville is among several Montgomery County students speaking out about recent detentions and deportations that have pulled about a dozen classmates from local schools this year. Immigrant advocates and county leaders say ICE activity near campuses is frightening families, hurting attendance, and forcing parents and students to choose between education and the risk of separation.
