2 Women Charged With Prostitution At Rockville Spa

Two additional women were arrested on prostitution charges in a bust involving four spas around Montgomery County.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two additional women have been arrested on prostitution charges in a human-trafficking investigation that involves four spas around Montgomery County.

On Tuesday, July 17, police arrested Manni Chen, 42, and Guihong Wei, 51. Police said the women were living in a Rockville massage parlor where they reportedly engaged in prostitution.

Three massage parlor owners were arrested on June 12, 2018 for allegedly human trafficking victims. Police identified Hong Wang, 56, Xiaoxia Lin, 42, and Hanfeng Zhang, 55, as the owners.

Detectives said the following massage parlors are owned and/or operated by the suspects:

  • Two massage parlors at 966 Hungerford Dr. in Rockville
  • 7246 Muncaster Mill Rd. in Derwood
  • 28 South Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg

After the arrest of the owners, police were notified on June 15 that the Rockville massage parlor re-opened and that prostitution-related activities were once again occurring.

"Detectives further learned through interviews that two females (later identified as Chen and Wei) were working and living in the massage parlor and would often provide sexual services to the male customers," a police statement said.

Chen and Wei were arrested at one of the Rockville massage parlors.

Wei was charged with one count of engaging in prostitution and one count of occupying a building for prostitution. She was released after posting a $3,000 bond.

Chen was charged with one count of occupying a building for prostitution and was released after posting a $7,000 bond.
