• Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse Opens First MD Restaurant (patch.com) — Rockville diners are getting a new option as Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse opens its first Maryland location in the Twinbrook Quarter development, offering a Gaúcho-style, all-you-can-eat churrasco experience. The 200-seat restaurant on Chapman Avenue features tableside-carved meats, an expansive hot and cold bar, weekend brunch, and special holiday pricing, positioning itself as a new destination for local food lovers.
   

• South Kent hockey sweeps series against Team Maryland (lakevillejournal.com) — Rockville-based Team Maryland’s 18U squad hit the road to Connecticut and dropped three straight games to South Kent School, slipping to an 8-10-2 record. The series, played Dec. 12–14, showcased high-level Tier 1 youth hockey and a tough learning stretch for the Rockville program as it continues competing in a national development league.
