A 19-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 9 for a burglary that occurred earlier between noon on Jan. 21 and 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 24 in the 200 block of Frederick Road.
Unit block of Research Court: A 28-year-old man was arrested for trespassing between 10:29 and 10:45 a.m. on Aug. 13.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue: Two 17-year-old boys were arrested for theft at 5 p.m. on Aug. 13.
1300 block of Piccard Drive: A 27-year-old man was arrested for an active warrant through Virginia at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14.
14900 block of Shady Grove Road: A 30-year-old woman was arrested for theft between 2:27 and 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 15.
700 block of Monroe Street: A 27-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, were both arrested for second-degree assault between 3:38 and 3:41 a.m. on Aug. 17.
14900 block of Shady Grove Road: A 59-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon (knife) with the intent and purpose of causing injury between 8:44 and 8:50 a.m. on Aug. 17.
1300 block of Gude Drive: A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance—PCP and obstructing and hindering a police investigation at 7:55 p.m. on Aug. 17.
Incidents
1100 block of Lewis Avenue: An unknown subject gained access by prying a basement window at a residence between 6 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 12. Once inside, the unknown subject removed a laptop and U.S. currency.
5900 block of Holland Road: An unknown subject or subjects gained access into a residence by unknown means between 11 a.m. on Aug. 6 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 10. Once inside, the unknown subject or subjects removed a television.
1910 Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed the right front passenger door of a vehicle between 4 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 12.
200 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject asked to use his cell phone between 8:15 and 9 p.m. on Aug. 15. The complainant complied, and the unknown subject walked away with the phone, refusing to return it.
Suspect description: A black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches, 170 to 190 pounds, with black dreadlocks or twists, a medium skin tone and a thin build. Last seen wearing dark blue baggy jeans and a red, white and blue polo shirt.
200 block of Long Trail Terrace: An unknown subject gained access by breaking a front glass door panel at a residence between 1:20 and 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 17. Once inside, the unknown subject removed an iPad.
