Bank Robbery, Carjacking Suspect, 18, in Custody: Police
Investigators caught up with suspect after 2 separate incidents in April, according to Montgomery County Police.

LAYHILL, MD. — Montgomery County Police has arrested a suspect in connection to two unrelated crimes in April in the Layhill area.
Jhasir Marquis Devaux,18, of an unconfirmed address, is charged with robbery and carjacking.
He was taken into custody on May 2 after a police officer stopped to assist Devaux with a disabled vehicle and determined the car was stolen in an April 27 carjacking.

Devaux attempted to flee when confronted by the officer, but he was eventually taken into custody. During the investigation, detectives say they found evidence of an April 9 armed robbery at the Sandy Spring Bank on Layhill Road.
Devaux is being held on a $25,000 bond for the carjacking case and a $100,000 bond for the bank robbery, according to police.
